*big hugs*
Congrats to you and Mrs. Ran!
Hmmm, might have to arrange a road trip one of these days...
*more hugs*
Congratulations, Ran.
Hope Meegan's happy-hands don't become detached with the excitment
Just wanted to pass on the good news. There's going to be another Ransprout coming along sometime around the end of Aug. More details as they come, but we do have one excited soon to be big sister.

Eeek, wish I hadn't now LOL!
Yeah, 2 RanSprouts and a NomSprout. Why should they have all the fun?
Thinks about sending Rantarn a light saber for the new sprout...
Congrats.
Polly I hope the job search is going well.
Congratulations on the new sprout, Rantarn...but you guys messed up a little on the timing. pregnant all summer? Yuch. I hope it is a coolish August. That could be uncomfortable.
In case you all couldn't tell, I have a new computer (I had to turn in my company laptop at my exit interview yesterday). I decided to go with a desk top - partly money and partly just being freaked out by the concept of carrying my computer around Manhattan and on the subway and trains. Yes, I know I could have kept backups, but I think it was harder to imagine someone else having it than losing it. Anyway, I am excessively pleased. Set up is going well. I bought and set up a multifunction copier/printer/scanner/faxer today. I'll install Microsoft Office (yay for the student/teacher edition) tomorrow.
Just for the curious - 2.4 Gig PIV processor, 512 Megs RAM, 60 Gig hard drive, CD-RW and DVD ROM, 17 in flat screen monitor (not the skinny kind) all by Compaq.
As for me and my unemployed state, well, I have a lot of work to do. It isn't going to be a short search. But, oddly enough, I am feeling fine. I think it has a lot to do with yesterday. Before I left for the last time, I made the rounds around my floor to say goodbye. I really talked to people. All of them said how much they enjoyed working with me and offered to help anyway they could. It was all very nice. I'm going to use several of their offers for networking. It felt good.
Thanks to everyone. Meaghan is very much into Barbie dolls (not to dress up but just to play with) and Playmobile people. So we think as soon as the baby comes along that she'll want to make her sibling "be this" and hand him/her one of the toys to play with as well.
Hey that's great about Meaghan getting a sibling! I wish my sister would try it. I love my niece, but my knees are getting too stiff to sit on the floor and play Barbies for two hours! Although I have managed to convince the sprout that washing the car is actually a game.
